Today the Kyoto protocol becomes effective which means that every Dutch household has to reduce it’s CO2 emission by 6%. Dutch households can easily reach this goal by installing a solar power system. A complete solar package of 4 solar modules, easy to install by putting the plug in the contact, produces about 10% of the annual electricity need of an average household. So families with solar modules buy less polluting energy because they produce their own clean, renewable solar power. And they meet the Kyoto objective immediately.

On April 25th 2004 GiraSolar BV signed a contract intending to acquire a majority share in solar energy experts Stroomwerk Energy BV and Solar Service Buro BV, both established in Deventer, The Netherlands. Despite serious efforts on both sides, GiraSolar as well as the American holding company UCSY did not comply with their obligations. So on 27th of July the majority shareholders of Stroomwerk and Solar Service Buro did not see any progress anymore and were forced to cancel the purchase.
Mr. Koen Dirven, former managing-director of Stroomwerk, has been relieved of all his duties regarding Stroomwerk. Stroomwerk is now again under the management of Mr. René Blickman and Mr. Dirk Elzinga. This unexpected turn won’t have any negative effect on the ambitions of Stroomwerk Energy BV, on the contrary, it stimulates us to put extra effort in entering new markets. At the end of this year Stroomwerk will present itself to the German market with a revolutionary new sales concept which has proven itself in the Dutch market already. Many other interesting European markets will be entered in the coming period.
