Our projects

Here you will find information about some of the projects Stroomwerk designed and installed.

Provinciehuis Assen

The total capacity of this solar power system is 23,76 kWp. 144 Isofoton I-165 modules are combined with 6 Sunny Boy 3000 inverters. Characteristics: the Stroomwerk-designed zonnegoot (‘solar gutter’) is used as a mounting structure. This smart design requires less weight and uses the available surface very efficiently. More PV-capacity is placed on less surface.

Sportcomplex de Vlinder at Wageningen

When the architect designed this sports centre he wanted to use solar power. All together over 2200 solar modules are installed; 2 huge solar fields on the flat roofs of the sport halls, transparent modules in the high climbing chimney and also in the shed roofs above the entrance. The modules produce about 200.000 kWh of solar energy every year. Utility Nuon Renewable Energy is the owner of the Solar system. Solar modules type 160 Wp and Shell S115L are used in combination with Sunny Boy and Gridfit inverters.

Holidaypark Bronsbergen at Zutphen

This is one of Stroomwerk’s most beautiful projects. The application of solar power is very visible and recognisable. The solar systems were integrated in the building process. The roofs of all south-orientated houses are full of solar modules. They also form the actual roof so no tiles or anything is used at that side. Solar modules are also used in the façade and at the roof of the central building which hosts several restaurants, sporting spaces, meeting rooms and sauna. The transparent modules also provide a lot of shade. The solar cells in the modules are laminated in a special pattern. All the produced solar power is sold as green electricity by the energy company Nuon who is the owner of the system. Shell RSM 110, IRS 95 and IRS 100 modules are used in combination with  Sunny Boy and Würth inverters.

Haagsittardpark

The total solar power capacity is 39 kWp (405 solar modules IRS95 with 15 Sunmaster 2500 inverters).Characteristics: the roofs of the 15 houses are completely filled with solar modules. Roy Gelders is responsible for the design. Already in the design the architect paid attention to integrating solar modules.

EasySolar

Together with renewable energy consultant Ekomation we have installed about 200 kWp of solar power.  Characteristics: we have provided several households through The Netherlands with standardised, turn-key solar power systems, from 1 to 7 kWp each. EasySolar took care of everything for the customer; financing, applying for subsidies, delivery and installing the turn-key solar systems. The customer could take care of everything with just one autograph, very “easy”!

Art Centre te Delft

All together the 90 Isofoton I-110 solar modules have a capacity of 10 kWp. Three Sunny Boy 2500 inverters take care of the electrical conversion to the grid. Characteristics: this is the first time that the Stroomwerk design “zonnegoot” (“solar gutter”) was used by a private customer. A display at the Art Centre shows how much energy the system produces.

“Healty power project”

In this year, dentists, doctors, pharmacists and other small businesses could benefit from very attractive tax reductions when they bought a solar power system. Modules were installed on dozens of houses/practices.

Free Energy Europe amorphous roofing elements

The total capacity is about 3,5 kWp (18 pieces of SSR 128 and SSR64 modules with 27 OK4 inverters). Characteristics: the flexible thin amorphous modules are glued to steel roofing elements. This was an experimental project supported by Novem.

Naval base Airport Kooy

The steel mounting construction was especially designen for the Navy. The Isofoton I-110 modules have a total capacity of about 40 kWp. The Sunny Boy 2500 inverters connect the modules to the grid.

Ministry of VROM

Total capacity approximately 23,3 kWp.

The Ministry of VROM has put solar modules on the entire  roof of the former nursery. Because we used black tedlar, the looks of the system are smooth and plane. It gives the entrance of the building a modern and technical look. 199 modules Solarstock 196 Wp and 6 Sunny Boy inverters were used. These modules have an extra high efficiency

The Leguanen

For a demonstration and experience project the houses at this solar power boulevard were provided with all kinds of solar power. Stroomwerk took care of two houses. We installed 24 and 28 modules RSM 95 with 7 Würth inverters. Total capacity is 5 kWp.

Vereniging Zonnestroom

Through our sales organisation Vereniging Zonnestroom, hundreds of private house owners have bought and installed their own private solar power system. Stroomwerk designed and supplied the complete do-it-yourself packages. Using the installation manual the customer could easily mount the system on his roof and connect it to the grid. This way, almost 3 MW of solar power is installed. Nowadays we sell this concept in Germany as well and we are investigating other European markets.

Leopoldhove Zoetermeer

Isofoton I-165 solar modules are installed on nearly every suitable roof surface of these buildings. This made this house association project quite complex. The total capacity is 100 kWp. Two kinds of mounting structures were used; Jeto for the tilted roofs and ‘”solar gutter” for the flat roofs.

“Kop van Zuid “Rotterdam

Total capacity 10,5 kWp. This is the first project realized with a union of private house owners. 110 AC-modules were installed on so called Consoles. An AC-module has its own little inverter, mounted on the back of the module (OK4). Nowadays we use 1 or 2 or more central inverters when several modules are installed.

Family van Erp at Oss

The roof of the new build barn of this family home is completely filled with integrated solar modules. Laminates (modules without a aluminium frame) are used in this so called “strak dak system” (pane roof). The total capacity is 5,4 kWp, and it provides the family with 4.000 of clean solar energy every year.

ECN-façade at Petten

In total 2,1 kWp of solar power capacity is mounted on the facades at the Dutch Energy Research Centre ENC. The 164 A13P modules are mounted with Fortum Gevel Montage. Four Sunny Boy 850 inverters make the electricity suitable for the grid. Four identical systems are placed at every side of the building (North, South, West, East). They are used for testing and other research programs.

EnergieNed at Arnhem

Total capacity approximately 1,6 kWp. Twelve modules GSS special and an ASP 2500 inverter form together this solar circle, completely integrated in the building. This circle gives the building an architectural look.

Barn of the Dutch National Nature Conservation at Loerbeek

Stroomwerk has installed several systems at various locations of the National Nature Conservation. The local municipality had stated several conditions how to use this modern technology in a natural environment,  especially about the external look. Our system with black tedlar and prismatic glass met the standards. Total capacity 20 kWp.

Luna is a public lighting system that will save you 100% energy. It is grid independent but still guarantees maximum light performance during summer and winter. This concept based on solar power can provide you with ‘green’ light anywhere. The solar modules convert the sunlight in to electricity and store it in the batteries. Because of the use of an effective energy management system, just a few hours of daylight in winter will provide enough energy to light parks, parking spaces, roads and squares. Our experience is that Stroomwerk’s Luna’s are the most reliable lighting systems available in this market. The municipality of Barneveld has placed  5 Luna’s along a road besides highway A1. Also Amsterdam and the municipality of Waterlanden have chosen these renewable lighting systems. West Maas and Waal uses the concept to light direction signs. All together over 200 Luna’s are installed for utilities, municipalities, ministries, housing associations and commercial businesses.

Solar Home Systems Mali

Stroomwerk has delivered about 1500 Solar Home Systems in Mali, Africa during a 4 year subsidy program. These systems were installed at houses in remote area’s where no grid is available. During the day the solar modules produce electricity and it is stored in the batteries for later use. To watch TV, to cool a fridge or to burn a light bulb.

The Stroomwerk designed Powerbox is one of the components of the system. The Powerbox contains a special energy management regulator that prevents continuous deep discharging of the batteries by regulating the daily use. Further because of this it is now longer necessary to use a special deep cycle solar battery. All this will result in a significant reduction of both battery replacement and investment costs.

Fort island IJmuiden

The 29 kWp of solar power capacity make the Fort island the first island which runs entirely on solar power. The Shell RSM 100Wp modules are mounted on a special construction made by SDF France. Nuon Renewable Energy owns the system.

Fire brigade at Houten

The complete south facing roof of the fire brigade at Houten is made of transparent solar modules. They fit perfectly in the modern design of the building. The Gaya 83 Wp modules and Sunny Boy inverters form a system of about approximately 24 kWp.

Brummelman at Sonnega

The solar cells are integrated in the 144 roof tiles/modules (Lauman). This system saves you the mounting structure.

Ministry of Defence, Coevorden

This is one of the 50 systems we have installed for the Ministry. This one has a capacity of 5 kWp. Amorphous MST 43 LV modules are mounted on Consoles. The Consoles are mounted on the Kalzip roof with special structures.

Ministry of Defence, Darp

Here the amorphous MST 43 LV modules are placed in a facade system. The mounting structure was designed by Stroomwerk, the capacity is about 2,4 kWp.

ECT-EMDA

Total capacity 7 kWp. The customer wanted a complete dark roof. By integrating 43 GSS special modules we have met this objective. Four Sunmaster 1800 inverters were used.

Sparta football stadium at Rotterdam

Utility Eneco contracted us to build this system. 64 MSX120 Solarex modules and 3 Sunny Boy 2500 inverters were installed at the roof of the stadium (total capacity 7,7 kWp). Characteristics: the modules are mounted on a steel construction which also forms the weight to keep the complete system in place. This way no extra connection through the roofing material is needed. Several displays are installed in the stadium so visitors can see how the solar system performs.
